Presidents Message
 The name VelQuest is derived from the Quest for Velocity. A very personal experience in my family put into perspective how important it was to accelerate bringing new medicines to market.
We started VelQuest by listening and learning. The last eight years have confirmed the findings from our initial visits with fifty pharmaceutical executives and companies: Current paper-based GxP compliance systems have become a major bottleneck. Compliance-related paperwork is consuming scarce resources and challenging the capacity to produce valuable new products in a timely manner. In addition, 21 CFR Part 11 remediation has emerged as an expensive challenge to achieving our industry's vision of the electronic laboratory.
In response to these unmet needs, we've developed two products. Our electronic notebook based SmartLab system, is the industry's first -- and only -- Automated cGMP Electronic Notebook System, a solution that eliminates tedious paperwork, and at the same time provides a more effective and efficient strategy for managing all aspects of cGMP compliance. SmartShell is our innovative response to the urgent Part 11 need to remediate PC-Based instruments and desktop computers.
