Ken Rapp
President and Chief Executive Officer
Ken Rapp is President and CEO of VelQuest Corporation, which he co-founded in 1999 to help pharmaceutical companies reduce data collection and documentation bottlenecks in Development and QC laboratory operations. As President and CEO, Ken plays a leadership role in setting Development priorities, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and International Operations.
Prior to VelQuest, From 1984 through 1999, Ken held a variety of technology and management positions with Zymark Corporation (now Caliper Life Sciences). Ken holds a BS degree from Northeastern University.
Bill Buote
Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer
Bill Buote is Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of VelQuest Corporation, which he co-founded in 1999, and is the chief architect of the VelQuest product line. Bill's extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry was acquired over twenty-five years of software and product development.
Before joining VelQuest, Bill held key technical management positions at Zymark Corporation, including Vice President. Bill also served as Director of Information Systems at Waters Associates (now Waters Corporation).
Bill received his BS degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Gene Tetreault
Senior Vice President, Operations & Engineering
Gene Tetreault is Senior Vice President, Operations & Engineering at VelQuest. Gene is responsible for product development, system architecture and technical relationships with customer activites.
Prior to joining VelQuest, Gene led product development efforts for Zymark Corporation and REMP. Gene has more than 15 years experience developing hardware and software automation systems for the pharmaceutical industry.
Gene received his BS, Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth.
Claude Hatfield
Senior Vice President, Operations & Compliance
Claude Hatfield is Senior Vice President, Operations & Compliance at VelQuest, which he co-founded. Claude is responsible for all compliance activities and operations including project management, system implementation, validation, training and customer support groups.
Prior to VelQuest, Claude served in key management positions with Zymark Corporation. He has over 25 years experience in regulatory compliance and quality assurance, with expertise in method development, method validation, and instrument qualification.
Before joining Zymark, Claude held a number of positions at Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation in the Quality Assurance and Quality Control groups.
Claude received his MS in Analytical Chemistry from Rutgers University.
Rich Mayzel
Vice President Finance and Administration
Rich Mayzel brings more than 30 years of operations and finance compliance experience in healthcare and technology-related industries to VelQuest. Rich is responsible for financial stability of the company, overseeing the day to day finance functions and helping shape the VelQuest's forward looking strategy.
Prior to joining VelQuest, Rich was responsible of a variety of International and US Financial compliance programs at Data General Corporation and EMC.
Rich is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, and holds a BBA in Management.
